Selected work

Systems, channels and websites built around real operations.

A selection of recent work: internal business systems, direct ordering and customer channels, platforms and websites. Some are client projects, some are businesses we run ourselves. Every one was built around how the business actually operates and handed over with full ownership.

The two flagship projects at the top show the full range: an internal payroll system built around an existing attendance scanner, and a direct ordering channel built around a working kitchen. Both are businesses OPEN operates, so the systems were built for real operations and are actively used in the operation. Directly after them sits Expat Foods Thailand, independent client work where the most valuable part of the project was questioning the original brief.

The client asked for a basic online presence to support an established physical store. We challenged that brief and recommended online ordering instead, because it could reach customers well beyond the local catchment without disrupting the shop. The store carried on trading as before, and the new channel opened the range to customers across Thailand.

Why we build for ourselves

Our own businesses are the proving ground.

Several of these projects are businesses we run, fund and staff ourselves. That means we have done the payroll, taken the orders, handled the refunds and sat with the reports. Operating our own businesses means many of the problems we review are problems we have encountered ourselves.

We use the same tools, process and standards for our own ventures as for client work, and every client project is handed over with full ownership of the code, content and data.
